Since we’ve been friends for almost two months now, I thought I might give you a little peek into where I sit while blogging. Although I usually edit my photos on our trusty Mac upstairs, most of my blogging is done on our laptop on one of these cozy couches (and yes, Lani is usually laying in the sunshine nearby).
Would you believe that this space actually looked like THIS when we moved in a little over five years ago?
My husband and I get the home improvement bug a couple times a year – usually during summer and around Christmas time (oddly enough). This summer we embarked on a “honey-do” that’s been pending since we moved in – installing dark, espresso, wood floors. Pretty drastic change, huh? I love decorating our home and we’ve put quite a bit of work in ourselves (with the help of some very wonderful family and friends).
Here’s another angle of what would become our now modern (and comfy) living room. Our house was built in the mid-80s and renters lived there all 20 something years before we bought it, so it needed quite a bit of work. We fell in love with its good bones though and immediately imagined what we could do with the place once we moved in.
This is the same angle now – crazy what a difference wood floors, a fresh coat of paint and new fixtures makes!
It’s only a few months until we’ll likely catch the bug again – we’ve already been talking about what to do next. The only problem is, once we start one project, we realize we want to do five more! I’m pretty proud of all the hard work we’ve put in so far, and I can’t wait until the rest of the house is just how we pictured it (just when I think we’re close, the list of to-dos keeps growing and growing!).
Hope you liked the little tour of my blogging space. Where do you blog (or read them!)?
