I have loved seeing everyone’s amazing 2012 recaps over the past few days and it has been a fabulous year for me as well. I’ve been thinking a lot about my goals for the next year and came up with a list (albeit a little bit of an ambitious one) because one New Year’s resolution just didn’t seem like quite enough.* Some are big, some are small, but all are equally as important to me.
*I’ve been known to be a bit of an over-achiever. Don’t mind me. 🙂
Read 13 books: I set a book-reading goal for myself a couple years ago and felt so accomplished looking back on everything I read. I LOVE reading and don’t make it enough of a priority in my life when things get busy. This year I didn’t read nearly enough, so I’m putting it back on the list for next year.
Make my bed every day: Don’t judge, but I have a dirty little secret. I am super organized and clean – I’m constantly picking up around the house and I hate messes. But you know what I ALWAYS neglect? Making the bed. Perhaps too many years of parent reminders turned me off to it completely. Now it’s usually not that bad, the sheets are usually pulled up and the comforter is typically orderly, but I hardly ever take the time to do it properly. You know, actually putting all our decorative pillows back in their places in the morning. And those pillows were expensive. So that’s gotta change.
Work out at least four days a week: My husband and I are usually the perfect workout team, but over the holidays – we definitely slack off. I’m setting a goal to get back in our normal routine because I know I’m a healthier, more productive and an overall better person when I’m active.
Take care of my skin: I might be the only girl in the world who doesn’t really like lotion. Actually my sister and I have that in common. I’m good about face lotion and sunscreen in the morning and eye cream at night, but I tend to neglect the other 95% of my body. But no more! I’m setting a goal to put lotion on at least twice a day because my arms and legs deserve a little love, too.
Be a better blogger: Starting a blog has been one of my favorite highlights of 2012. It’s become such a fun creative outlet for me and I hope you’ve all enjoyed it as much as I have. I am so thankful for each and every comment, follower and page view and I’m resolving to make See Mo Go. the BEST it can be! More reviews, more giveaways, better pictures, more features – I’ve got a lot planned for 2013 and I can’t wait to share it with you!
So what’s your New Year’s resolution (or resolutions)? And how do you plan to accomplish them? Any tips or tricks would be most appreciated.
