I’ve broken it down into five categories, which for some will be enlightening and for others will be old news. My fellow Anthro-stalkers (you know who you are!), please feel free to comment at the end of this post if I’m missing any tips – or if you have some of your own! We’d all love to hear them. 🙂
2. Get an Anthro Card. When even bigger sales happen at Anthro, Anthro Card members hear it first. The Anthro card gets you early access to certain sales, thehighly-coveted birthday coupon and sometimes even additional percentages off and/or free shipping! It’s free. There’s not a downside. Just DO IT.
3. Make a Wish List. Anthro has a super cool feature on their website (once you create an account online) where you can add items in your preferred size and color to a “wish list.” It’s the perfect way to keep track of all the items you plan to sale-stalk. The best part of this feature is that every Monday morning when you know a sale might arise, instead of having to check each category or the “fresh cuts” to see if your wish-listed items went on sale, you can instead sign in to your account, open up your wish list, and the new sale prices will be reflected! You then have the option to add to your cart and click, click, click before it’s gone! Here’s a preview of my current wish list:
4. Use your resources. There are some awesome Anthro bloggers out there who are devoted to helping YOU find amazing deals! Two of my favorites, Effortless Anthropologie and Behind the Dressing Room Door have reviews, reader outfits, new styles and (most importantly) sale posts to keep you in the loop when things go on sale, or if there are any promos going on. They’re both excellent resources for all things Anthro! Effortless Anthropologie also had a couple great guest posts this week about scoring Anthro bargains – check them out here and here.
5. Be patient with the sale racks. Sale racks at any store can be intimidating and, despite their impeccable displays of regular priced items, Anthro’s sale section is no exception. It can be a sad, sad, place, but it can also produce amazing gems. So be patient! Look at each and every piece – and ask the sales associates if they can help you find something! If they don’t have your size, another store might and (like I mentioned earlier) it’s FREE SHIPPING when another store sends you an item!
So there’s my Anthro sale spiel. Anthroholics – did I leave anything out? Do you have any other tips and tricks I don’t know about yet? I’d LOVE to hear them – comment away!
