Oh, hi. It’s been um, a long time since I did an outfit post. Oops. I hope you weren’t worried that I stopped shopping or wearing cute outfits or anything drastic – cause I haven’t. It’s just been a really busy time for me at my real job (sadly it’s not blogging. sigh.) and in my personal life. Making time for photos has been a little challenging lately, and I’ve started to reevaluate the whole “work/life” (even if it’s fun work) balance thing. So maybe not as many posts per week, but quality, not quantity, people. Right?
Speaking of quality, not quantity – I’ve started to rethink my shopping strategy now that we have a big trip in the works at the end of the year and my favorite season is almost upon us (yay fall!).
Lately I’ve been drawn to key closet items that I know will transition me through the rest of the summer well into the fall and this skirt is one of those pieces. I adore the playful pattern (dots in the front, tribal in the back) and obviously the whole B&W thing is not going anywhere. I love this with some summer heels now, but am thinking boots and tights in a few short months. I also finally splurged on the army jacket I’ve been drooling over because I know the cost per wear will be worth it in the end. It’s a summer-weight jacket that’s perfect with white skinnies or shorts, but will be even better with boots and a scarf when the cool weather hits.
Have you been anxiously eyeing any fall pieces yet? Or are you more of an endless summer kinda girl?
