Last week I realized I was almost out of my favorite morning exfoliating scrub (I use it every day in the shower – seriously good stuff), so naturally I went on Sephora to order a refill and several other things that I most certainly did not need. But hey, that’s what we do, right?
Here’s the latest loot (samples and beauty insider rewards included). As I mentioned, I love the Philosophy scrub. If I had a “Mo’s Favorite Things” show at Christmas, this would most definitely be on it. I would also give you all cars, in case you were wondering. And they would be Mini Coopers.
I’ve been eyeing this Deborah Lippman polish (in Happy Birthday) since I saw in on Pinterest last year around the holidays and it happens to be one of the 100-point beauty insider rewards right now (score!). I can’t wait to try it out! I also happened to browse the “Weekly Specials” section before checkout and was able to get a free deluxe sample of Laura Mericer’s Smooth Finish Foundation Powder, which is perfect for travel and just as smooth and lovely as I imagined.
The real standout, however, was the Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelée, though. I read about it in Lucky Mag last week and was itching for a new cheek color and it’s just what I wanted. It goes on super easy, is really hydrating and gives that perfect “flushed” look. So, so pretty.
The only disappointment of the bunch was this color of the Smashbox MegaTint Long Wear Lip Color. I bought it in nude since I’m obsessed with punch and cerise, but it just doesn’t look good on my fair skin. It’s definitely more of a peachy nude, which apparently is a no-go with blonde/blue eyed/very white girls. Lesson learned.
What new beauty finds have you picked up recently? Anything I “need” to try?
(I’m easily persuaded, in case you haven’t noticed).
